Clairefontaine Pastelmat Paper

Clairefontaine Pastelmat Paper is available in 50x70cm and 24x32cm (A4) & A3 packs of 5. The pastel adheres so well to this new paper that you don't need to use a fixative between each layer. You are able to multiply the layers without a saturation effect. Pastelmat brings new opportunities for pastel artists, offering a coarser surface than velour, but a softer surface than sand paper. This premium card surface is specially developed for the pastel artist. Its unique velvety surface is made from a fine coating of cellulose fibres and has the ability to grab and hold multiple layers of even the softest pastels. It also has the added bonus of being gentle on both fingers and blending tools. You are able to apply multiply layers without a saturation effect which significantly reduces the need for fixative, allowing the colours to remain vibrant and bright.
