Liquitex Flexible Modelling Paste Gel

Liquitex Flexible Modelling Paste Gel is a thick acrylic medium designed to create raised textures, relief and dimensional effects in acrylic and mixed-media artwork. Its flexible formulation allows artists to build textured surfaces and sculptural details while maintaining a degree of flexibility when dry. It can be used on its own to create textured effects or combined with acrylic colours for customised dimensional finishes.

How to use it

• Apply to a clean, dry and suitably prepared surface
• Use a palette knife, brush or other suitable tool to spread and shape the paste
• Build up the surface gradually to create the desired texture or relief
• Smooth, carve or manipulate the surface while the product remains workable
• Mix with Liquitex Acrylic colours when a coloured textured effect is required
• Allow each layer to dry thoroughly before applying additional material
• Once completely dry, paint over the surface with acrylic colours or other compatible acrylic products
• Experiment with different tools and application techniques
